I am finding that the University of Bedfordshire is a place where you can keep yourself busy. And for me, the best thing about this university is that there is lots of freedom and enough time to do whatever you like. When you are not at lectures you can always find loads of events which will entertain you and make the time pass by quickly.
Fiction films
We are making fiction films, documentary films and all kinds of other visual projects which not only help to improve theoretical knowledge learned in the classrooms, but also help you to get along with your team mates, even if they are lazy, as well as to be proud of your production outcome and to build your portfolio.
As I am now in the second year’s second semester, the question of what to do after the graduation is becoming more and more important. At this point, I have to say thanks to my media lecturers who are also concerned about us. In this year, there are many people from the media field coming and giving us guest lectures about their experiences, what to do, etc. The lectures are very practical and help us to realize the gaps we have in a particular field so that we can fill them with the required knowledge.
Film watching
But being at university is not all about studying hard. Here, in the University of Bedfordshire, I enjoy going to elective business lectures where I can enjoy listening to business people, who have succeeded in their field. I also occasionally visit the University’s chaplaincy, where the movies are being screened and I can meet people. And, of course, on Friday night’s I still go out with my friends for a beer and a good chat.
